What You Can Expect
This hybrid training consist of in-person and weekly virtual sessions to deepen your connection to yourself, your purpose, and the practice of yoga. You’ll walk away with the confidence to teach, the tools to lead, and a powerful foundation to show up in the world with with clarity, purpose, and presence.

The in-person sessions are an opportunity to deeply connect with your facilitators, fellow trainees, and the teachings of yoga.
Expect intensive practice, workshops, and bonding activities that lay the foundation for the weeks to come.
The virtual weekly sessions will have live lectures, practice sessions, and interactive discussions.

We recommend having 3–6 months of consistent yoga practice and some familiarity with common yoga poses.
You don’t need to have an advanced practice — or even be sure you want to teach right away.
This training is for those with a sincere desire to go deeper, an open mind, and a willingness to explore what it truly means to embody the practice of yoga.

Teach Her Yoga is a registered yoga school and accredited by Yoga Alliance, ensuring the highest education standards.
Upon completed of this training you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.
Training Topics
What You Can Expect
Teach Her Yoga is structured into thoughtfully curated modules that blend the foundations of yoga with trauma-informed practices, women’s wellness education, and community-centered leadership. Each module is designed to guide you through your own transformation while equipping you to teach with clarity, confidence, and care.

This program will highlight women in yoga and their untold tradition and stories.
We will also explore beyond what we know about mainstream yoga and trace its ancient roots from Africa and India to the West.

Explore the roots of yoga through both ancient texts and lived experiences. Learn the ethical principles (Yamas & Niyamas), the Eight Limbs of Yoga, and how to integrate them into your life and teaching.

Understand how the body moves and holds energy. Learn applied anatomy, nervous system education, and foundational alignment principles — all through an inclusive and body-honoring lens.

Discover how to build intentional, trauma-aware classes rooted in intuitive movement and personal expression. You'll learn cueing, theming, and how to sequence classes for different populations.

Explore what it means to teach with presence, cultural humility, and trauma-informed awareness.
This module includes inclusive language, consent practices, and cultivating your authentic teaching voice.

Learn how yoga supports key areas of women’s health, including pelvic floor function, menstrual cycle awareness, hormone wellness, prenatal/postnatal care, bone density, and emotional well-being.

This final module prepares you to step into your role as a teacher and wellness leader. You'll explore community care, social justice in wellness, the business of teaching, and how to offer your work with integrity and impact.

A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required to register for the program.
Full program tuition is $2,600 when paid in full by July 31, 2025. Full program tuition is $3,000 after July 31 or with a min $400 payment plan.

Trainees that have successfully completed the program by passing the final exam and completion of all assignments will receive a certification.
Will be able to register with Yoga Alliance to qualify as a Registered Yoga Teacher.
You will also have continued support from the Teach Her Yoga community with optional continuing education opportunities and mentorship.

To complete your application you will schedule a 15-minute clarity call with Raquel — a chance to connect, ask questions, and make sure this journey aligns with what you’re looking for.
3. Self-Investment
Once your application is approved for the program a deposit of $400 is due to secure your spot.
You will have the opportunity to pay in full or set up a payment plan. Details will be provided for this when steps 1-3 are completed.




FAQ Houston Training

Along with a passion for community we require that you have a minimum of 3-6 months (and recommend a minimum of one year) of a consistent yoga practice before enrolling in our yoga training program.
We want to make sure that trainees have a basic foundation in the primary yoga postures before learning how to teach. If you do not have this experience please note it within your application to be considered.

We will follow up within 72 hours of receiving your application. Once you have completed the 15 min clarity call and paid your deposit you will receive the training link to start your journey.
Payment is due in full at the time of registration or you have the option to select a payment plan.
If you elect for a payment plan all fees are due no later than November 1, 2025.

Our 200-hour training is ideal for those who want to delve deeper into the study of yoga, and to improve their own practice.
It’s also great for students who simply want to have a transformational experience and to be a part of our thriving Yoga Community.
If this program inspires you to teach we will prepare you to step into the community right away and teach transformational classes.

Expect to spend between 5-8 hours a week with a combination of virtual sessions, work study, group check-ins, practices, and assignments.
All of the above is designed to support the material covered in class and help you integrate what is presented into your own practice and teaching.
If you are not planning on teaching after this course, you may choose not to complete all of the homework assignments and take the course for non-credit.
However if you wish to receive a Completion for the course, you must attend all the sessions and complete all requirements of the training program.

You are a vital part of this community! Your participation is necessary for your personal growth and our collective sense of community.
In addition if you plan to register with Yoga Alliance it is required that you complete all 200 hours of the training program.
Unless you have a previously arranged exemption, you may not miss more than the following to receive a Certificate of Completion:
No more than (2) weekly practices which is a total of 3 training hours.
No more than (1) learning weekend which is a total of 16 training hours.
If you miss a virtual learning weekend, you are expected to catch up on all missed content and complete the assignments by watching the recorded weekend before the next weekend as content is cumulative.
If you miss more than the time that is allotted here are is the make-up policy requirement (max 12 make-up hours):

Teach Her Yoga is an anatomy based yoga training with an emphasis on female anatomy. Our teaching mythology balances precise instruction, detailed alignment, breath and intuitive movement. Please see the curriculum section above for what learning modalities will be included in the training.
We explore lineages and practices from Hatha, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Vinyasa, Forrest, Kemetic, Yin, Restorative, and much more.

Yoga Alliance is an organization that was started in 1999 as a way to create nationally recognized standards for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainings in the US.
Once you have completed the Teach Her Yoga program you will receive a yoga certification and be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.
Teach HER Yoga is a registered 200-Hour Yoga School with Yoga Alliance.

We recommend that you check with your physician first and must sign a waiver stating that you are able to take the class. With your doctor’s permission and release, minor physical limitations can also serve as helpful demonstrations to learn to work with students with similar limitations.
We also support special learning conditions. Please specify if you need an accommodation when you apply.

Pregnant students can join this program. It all depends on how you are feeling. All students should first check with their doctor to make sure they are clear to take this training.

Your payment is due in full by the early registration date in order to receive the discounted rate unless qualified for a payment plan. Full payment is required by the start of the program unless a payment plan has been previously arranged.
For all trainings fees once enrolled in program are non-refundable and non-transferable.
